AFFLICTION IN ALLYSHIP

A FORUM FOR ANTI-RACISM WORK
Affliction in Allyship is a forum to express and address the complex human element in anti-racism ally work. The ally plays an influential role in anti-racism work, at times lending a voice for those whose cry for humanity fall on deaf ears. The ally makes vital connections to get resources to other activists. Allies risk alienation from family, friends, and opportunities; allies sometimes even put themselves in harm’s way to protect the marginalized at protests and so much more. We invite you to listen and contribute to this conversation as we believe your experience is significant, and you will benefit someone else in Allyship.

BECOME AN ALLY
An ally is someone who is more than a non-racist person, an ally is a person who takes part in activities actively working to demolish racism. An ally is not a spectator, an ally knows they’re not a savior but a supporter taking direction from the directly effected. An ally takes proactive steps to challenge racism in their sphere of influence and beyond.
